Geese on Cayuga Lake

Geese on Cayuga Lake

This shot was taken just south of the frozen part of the lake. Cayuga Lake is the longest of the Finger Lakes in Upstate NY. It measures a tad over 38 miles long, is about 3.7 miles wide at its widest point and very deep with the deepest spot at 433 feet deep. Because of the size and depth the whole lake rarely freezes over allowing lots of birds to winter over here.
